Merrickville Porchfest 2025
Last weekend, Merrickville came alive with the sound of music as friends, families, neighbours and visitors gathered for the very first Merickville Porchfest - a celebration of local talent and community spirit. What an unforgettable day!
Organized collaboratively by Maple Music Studios, South Grenville Events, and The Pews, this year’s event featured ten incredible acts from Merrickville and surrounding areas on lovely porches throughout the afternoon. Each porch became a mini stage, drawing crowds and filling the streets with music. Thank you again to our exceptional porch hosts for sharing your space with artists and with the community! Take a look at some porch performance highlights:

A special highlight of the day was a performance by the Merrickville Community Choir. Funds raised throughout the event are going directly to support the choir’s upcoming projects and performances. The choir was delighted to share three songs that have been in the works over the past few months of rehearsal: 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton, Waterloo by ABBA, and Why We Sing by Greg Gilpin.
For those of you who missed the show, here is a clip of the choir performing Why We Sing. If you enjoy singing and would like to be part of this vibrant group, we warmly welcome new members to join us in September - please watch the Maple Music Studios social accounts for announcements, or get in touch using the contact button at the bottom of the page.
To everyone who joined us, hosted artists, performed, or supported—thank you. Your enthusiasm and support made the day truly special. We’re already looking forward to next year.
